Before breaking for the festive season, the National Netball League continued with two matches from the first division and another from the U/21 League.
Ta’ Xbiex ASC 10
Fuego 28
Fuego had an easy win against Ta’ Xbiex ASC who failed to live up to the expectations after having performed well in their previous encounters.
Although Fuego took some time to settle down they still opened a 6-0 lead by the end of the first quarter. Ta’ Xbiex came back on court more concentrated, netting five shots in the second quarter but Fuego kept extending their advantage netting their share of 12 shots.
The team changes effected by Ta’ Xbiex were to no avail as they only managed a shot in the third fraction. Fuego too failed to keep up their good rhythm, scoring only six shots in this quarter. The last fraction of the match was the most balanced, where both teams added four shots to their score.
Ta’ Xbiex’s valiant effort could not be rewarded with any points while Fuego accomplished their third consecutive victory of the season.

Kerygma Kaizers 39
New Ages Followers 12
The only match of the day from the Under 21 League between Kerygma Kaizers and New Ages Followers was a one-way traffic affair.
Kerygma Kaizers’ intentions of winning this match were clear from the outset as they came on court too strong for their opponents to keep up with the dictated pace.
The team changes effected by New Ages in the second quarter seemed to have trimmed down Kerygma’s stride but the gap in score was too wide to trigger any serious trouble.
With Kerygma’s co-ordination and solid play at its best, New Ages had no other option than to fight gallantly and bravely till the final whistle neatly wrapped the match in favour of Kerygma Kaizers.

Kerygma 19
All Ages Eurochange 39
The set out of the encounter between Kerygma and All Ages Eurochange gave the impression that it was to be a balanced match.
The score by the end of the first quarter was still close; that of 4-9 in favour of All Ages but Kerygma's attempts to draw level with their opponents brought about more mistakes than shots.
All Ages maintained their composure and further stretched their gap to 13 shots by the end of the third quarter.
Although the last fraction of the match produced the most shots for Kerygma, it was not enough for them to take home at least one point from this encounter as All Ages too netted ball after ball till the end.
