Taekwondo: Gradings At St Martin’s College

Taekwondo as extra curricular sport activity is being held for the first time at St Martin’s College in Swatar and the first group of students attending this college had their promotion test grading for Yellow Tab belt.

The gradings examination were conducted by their instructor Sabumnim Joseph Azzopardi also present was Sabumnim Brian Saliba 3rd Dan as an official and observer from the Malta Taekwondo Federation who commented favourably on the level achieved.

Taekwondo, beside the sport aspect, instils discipline and contributes directly to a healthy mind and body. It is also an Olympic sport gaining popularity among other sports abroad and also in Malta.

Taekwondo sessions for students aged 6 to 16 years are being held on Tuesday and Fridays at St Martin’s College and newcomers are welcome to call on 99424983. Older age group persons are to call on 99452010.
