There is yet no mention of who will be Malta’s new national coach.

As everyone is aware, Horst Heese of Germany is no longer coach as his contract expired at the end of last year. And the MFA, especially president Dr Joe Mifsud, is working to find a suitable replacement.

It is reliably understood that negotiations are ongoing and these are believed to be in an advanced stage.

The new coach is expected to be announced by the MFA President before 27 January, that is, before the European Championship draws.
