The ASA Executive is organising a clinic to review the Water Polo Rules with particular attention to the changes and amendments made during the last FINA Congress.
The clinic is being held at the University Residence, Balzan on Friday 20 and Saturday 21 January.
It will be conducted by Sig. Gianni Lonzi whose visit is being supported by FINA under the FINA Development programme.
Without any doubt, it is important for all local waterpolo referees to attend, however, it is also equally important for all current club coaches, as well as for prospective coaches to participate since ‘The Rules of the Game’ shall form an integral part of the curriculum which is being prepared for the Coaching Licence Course. It is the intention of the ASA not to allow coaches to assist their team during competitive matches unless they possess a Coaching Licence.
Club officials, members of the press and all those interested are invited to attend, however, as the maximum number of attendance is not to exceed 50, preference will be given to local referees and coaches.
An attendance fee of Lm5.50 per participant is being charged to cover the expenses of the coffee breaks and lunch.
All those interested to attend are to apply to the ASA on email address [email protected] or Fax No 21347625 as early as possible, but not later than Monday 16 January. The application should contain all the communication details, i.e. Telephone/Fax numbers and email address.
Club secretaries are encouraged to contact all the club coaches and officials whom they believe might be interested to attend, and submit their application in a group form.
