William Chetcuti Wins Malta-Great Britain encounter

Malta’s young star William Chetcuti was a clear winner in a double trap competition held at the Bidnija ranges against the visiting Great Britain team.

Chetcuti maintained his current good form with rounds of 46, 46 and 49 for a total of 141 from 150 clay targets.

In the barrage, Chetcuti managed to hit another 47 to finish with a good 188 total from 200.

Second was Steve Walton on 177, third Tim Kneale on 172, fourth Steve Scott on 169, fifth Rodney Micallef on 168 and sixth Derek Bonanno on 121.

On Thursday, Frans Pace obtained second place in a trap competition over 50 targets against the same visiting team.

Carl Exton won the event with 47 hits, followed by Pace on 46, Stanley Cardona, also on 46, Joe Attard, 44, Justin Attard 43 and Eugene Borg on 42.
