A Fokker-27 mini-liner, with two crew members on board, landed safely at the Malta International Airport yesterday after one of its two propeller engines developed a fault.
An airport spokesman told The Malta Independent that the standard full
emergency procedures
had been put into place for the landing of the private
cargo plane at around 12.10pm.
Fire engines and other emergency vehicles were on standby, while the air
traffic control and civil aviation authorities were on alert.
