Next Monday will set the balls rolling on the green baize for a grand spectacle of top-quality snooker when the current top 16 players and 16 other qualifiers will contest the second edition of The Malta Cup, being staged at the Hilton Malta Conference Centre at Portomaso.
With less then a week to go now for this 35-match world ranking tournament over 60% of the Block Tickets allocations has been sold. Past experience has shown that there is a sharp increase in the tickets’ demand once day and session tickets are available.
In fact these tickets are now on sale only from the Hilton Malta, from 9am to 6pm and prices vary from Lm2 to Lm7.
Meanwhile special parking arrangements at the Portomaso Hilton car park have also been made for all those who purchase tickets for the tournament.
The opening day of the tournament will present six matches. These will be Tony Drago against Shokat Ali, a qualifying match, the two ‘wild card’ matches involving locals Joe Grech and Simon Zammit and three other Round 1 matches involving top-notch favourites Alan McManus, John Higgins and Paul Hunter.
