Malta’s Alex Borg was bundles out of the Welsh Open yesterday afternoon when he lost 5-2 to Joe Delaney in the first round.

He had started quite well and was level at two-all after the opening session, but Delaney won the next three frames at the start of the second session to earn a berth in the second round.

Malta’s other professional, Tony Drago, will be in action tomorrow as he faces the winner of the tie between Marcus Capbell and Scott MacKenzie who play today in a second round match.
