Malta Independent Thursday, 26 January 2006, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

LWS Animal Park at Ir-Razzett tal-Hbiberija is looking for a mascot to represent its animals. We know that you love animals so... “We need your help!”

If you are between four and 12 years, love animals and can draw, you could be the one we need to come up with the most interesting mascot for our park. The winning logo will become the LWS Animal Park official mascot and the winner will receive one year’s free entrance to the park. Moreover, by means of a draw, 10 participants will get the opportunity to spend a day at the park with our animal carer, participating in the feeding activities, including the horse-riding experience.

All you need to do is: Visit our park and choose which animal would best represent the whole park. Use all your imagination, colour, shape and style. Draw your mascot on a white paper and send it on the following address by not later than 20 February: LWS Animal Park Competition, Razzett ta-Hbiberija, Zinzell Street, Marsascala ZBR 11.

LWS Animal Park

The LWS Animal Park is all about fun and animal interaction, offering various entertaining activities such as horse-riding, train rides, go-karting and the new Adventure Area where children can play and enjoy themselves in a colourful, challenging and safe way.

The animal park is home to more than 20 different animal species. All animals are well-taken care of and kept in large enclosures. Rabbits, emus, mountain goats, monkeys, deer, horses and a llama are a few of the animals found here. The riding stables and arena is home to two French Trotters, a Swedish Trotter, two miniature ponies, an adorable Shetland pony and one donkey. Horses are well-trained by professionals and children wishing to ride will be assisted by a dedicated horse trainer.
