Have you ever kissed for 9.5 hours non-stop? Do you think you can last even longer?
Well, that is what the organisers are hoping for this year’s edition of the kissing marathon, being organised for the second consecutive year at the Bay Street Complex.
This year’s competition has been named “Kissing for a Cure” because the proceeds of this event will be directed towards the Cystic Fibrosis Fund.
The organisers are looking for participants to take part in this fun-filled marathon, which will see the winning couple enjoy a fabulous cruise for two called “Magical Italy”, on Star Cruises, courtesy of SMS travel. The second placed couple will win a overnight stay at the Bay Street Hotel.
The “longest kiss” competition will be held on Sunday, 12 February, at the Bay Street Complex.
The minimum duration of the kiss is set at two hours and the maximum is 12 hours. The organisers are hoping to exceed last year’s record established at an amazing nine hours and 30 minutes.
Entry to what promises to be an amusing and entertaining event, is free and open to applicants over 18 years of age. The kiss has to be on the lips. Couples have to bear in mind that competition rules demand decency and good taste at all times. Applications may be collected any day from the Events Team at the Bay Street Tourist Complex in St Julian’s.
