The International Olympic Academy (IOA) has published their calendar for courses and seminars for 2006 which will take place in Olympia, Greece. Applications for Maltese nationals are being received by the Malta Olympic Committee for the following courses/seminars:

46th International Session for Young Participants which will be held between the 19th June 2006 till the 3rd July 2006. Main topic will focus on ‘Olympism’ and special topic on ‘Sport and Ethic’. Participants should be 20 to 35 years old and are expected to take active part in the discussion groups which follow the lectures. Applications for this session have to reach the undersigned by not later than Wednesday 1st March 2006. Certain conditions apply.

14th International Seminar on Olympic Studies for Postgraduate Students which will be held between July 9th till August 4th, 2006. Main topic will focus on ‘The Olympic Games and the Olympic Movement: Past, Present and Future – An Analysis from the Historical, Philosophical and Social Perspectives’ and special topic on ‘Sport and Ethic’. Participants should be up to 40 years of age. Applications for this session have to reach the undersigned by not later than Wednesday 26th April 2006. Certain conditions apply.

7th International session for Educators and Officials of Higher Institutes of Physical Education which will be held between July 21st till July 25th, 2006. Main topic will focus on ‘Olympism’ and special topic ‘Ethics and the Olympic Movement’. The I.O.A. strongly encourages the participants to make presentations on topics related to the main subject of the session. Applications for this session have to reach the undersigned by not later than Wednesday 1st March 2006. Certain conditions apply.
