HP Honours Megabyte

During a dinner held last week at Palazzo Parisio for all local HP partners, Franz Scherz, managing director CDG EEM presented John Ambrogio – general manager Megabyte Ltd, with an elegant plaque as an award recognising Megabyte’s remarkable achievements as an HP Enterprise Server and Storage Partner in 2005.

In his short address to Maltese HP partners present Mr Scherz stated, “Megabyte is receiving this award as recognition for delivering and installing the ‘Largest HP Storage Solution in 2005.”

Mr Scherz gave this award to commend Megabyte for the successful deployment of a number Enterprise Servers and Storage Solutions, including the largest data HP Storage Array System ever implemented within the CDG

This landmark project was to install and commission an HP EVA 5000 storage array system with a storage capacity of 22 TeraBytes of data while allowing room for expansion to accommodate current and future customer needs.

This business critical project consisted of attaching a variety of third party server systems in a heterogeneous environment, to the HP Storage Area Network system.

The extensive experience gained by Megabyte in implementing HP Storage Area Network(SAN) projects together with the capabilities of its HP accredited system engineers, has provided the client with a world class SAN solution.

This latest HP Storage success story has brought the total amount of enterprise storage, delivered, installed and supported by Megabyte in Malta, to 38Terabytes. This makes Megabyte the number one provider of HP Enterprise Storage and Server consolidation solutions.
