The last two months of 2005 proved to be two eventful months for the Premier School of Football.
Apart from the regular training sessions, the school also organised three social activities for all the boys and their parents. The first activity, organised on 21st November 2005, was the second of a series of educational seminars, and treated the subject of Sports Nutrition.
Mr Geoffrey Axiak, a qualified nutritionist, was invited to deliver a presentation and answer questions about the subject. The school also took the occasion to hand its students the most improved player awards for the month of October.
Given the encouraging attendance and overall participation, the event, which was organised at the Qawra Palace Hotel, turned out to be a success.
On 11 December, the administrators organised the first cultural activity, a visit to the Mediterranean Conference Centre to assist to “The Malta Experience” show. As stated in its objectives, the school believes in giving also, as much as possible, a cultural background to the boys.
A children’s Christmas Party was the latest activity organised. The event took place at the Empire Cinema, where all the boys watched a film and enjoyed a party after.
For the occasion the school invited Under 21 national team player Andre Schembri to hand the most improved players awards for the month of November.
Andre, who is considered one of Malta’s brightest prospects, also delivered a short speech, where he told the boys to listen to their coach and to believe that nothing is impossible and that dreams can come true.
The boys were all given a gift and several football items among which featured also a national team shirt signed by Andre himself.
Boys showing an interest to attend the school for the term commencing in February are presently being invited to attend a training session free of charge. Parents wishing to register their children are kindly requested to call on mobile numbers 9947-0423 or 9945-9607 for further details.
