Melita Cable announced that it has acquired the exclusive TV rights to the Rugby Six Nations tournament for the territory of Malta for the next three years.

Melita also carries the LA7 channel which has acquired the TV rights for the Italian territory only. Since LA7’s rights do not extend to beyond the territory of Italy, LA7 is obliged to encrypt its signal outside Italy.

Due to the rights issue, LA7’s signal for the Rugby Nations tournament is not re-transmittable in Malta.

Melita on its part is providing the service on its Sports Channel and Melita Sports.

All games are being broadcast live with the original commentary.
