Jack Schiavone, individually registered cyclist, led the whole field on Sunday over an 80 km course at Zebbug. He clocked the top time in the Elite highly competitive class and this result further justifies his selection to represent Malta in next month’s Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, Australia.
His average time was close to the near record he established at the beginning of the season in the ITT held at Qormi-Dingli.
Two cycling clubs were represented Mosta AF SS CC (symbol M) who were also the organizers and Pamsons CC (symbol P). Thirty five cyclists started the event. A few retired en route and some were lapped at the end.
The next race will be run on the Bahar ic-Caghak Circuit and will be organised by Pamsons CC.
