Camilleri Wines, the Malta Culinary Association and PJ Sutters recently joined forces and hosted a Wine & Cheese Experience at Melita in Balzan. The well-attended event involved the matching of a variety of cheeses and hams supplied by local importers PJ Sutters with a selection of wines from Camilleri Wines’ local range of wines, namely Laurenti and Palatino.
The event was introduced by Malta Culinary Association president Martin Camilleri, who expressed his satisfaction at the positive feedback and attendance to this event hosted by the Association. In his welcoming speech, Mr Camilleri said: “these events seek to promote the Maltese culinary tradition in a social environment and we are glad that the interest shown by the public in general towards these events is on the increase.”
Mr Camilleri had also words of praise for Camilleri Wines, PJ Sutters and Melita and thanked them for choosing to associate themselves with this event by supplying their prestigious products and services. “It is through the collaboration with such companies as Camilleri Wines that we can keep ensuring the success of these events,” concluded Mr Camilleri.
A variety of cheeses and hams supplied by local importers and distributors PJ Sutters were throughout the event matched with Camilleri Wines’ local range of Laurenti and Palatino wines, as well as Portal Tawny Port, which is imported by Master Distributors.
“We were very delighted with the turnout for this event, the result of a closer and successful collaboration between the Malta Culinary Association, PJ Sutters, Melita and Camilleri Wines – a collaboration which we would like to repeat in the near future,” said head of sales and marketing at Camilleri Wines, Claudio Camilleri.
“Today’s clients are fast becoming more discerning when it comes to quality wines and good food and no one can afford to let their expectations down. Meeting their elaborate expectations is therefore one of the main attributes of these social events,” concluded Mr Camilleri.
