AHC Veneziani Croissant 21
D6 Active Bodies 11
As the scoreline clearly shows, this was a match that offered much to the good number of spectators present at the University Sports Complex.
Although it has to be said that it took Aloysians a whole half to start pushing on the accelerator, merit has to be given to a good D6 Active Bodies side which is improving rapidly with every match played.
The first half was quite balanced as both teams had to struggle to score goals, making both coaches jump on the bench. It was Brenda Camilleri who was scoring the goals for Aloysians from some well taken 9m shots, and Joanna Rizzo slotting them in for D6.
The second half started on a somewhat slow rhythm although by the seventh minute, Aloysians had already increased their lead to three goals. This time it was Mathilde Friggieri who took her share of goals, as her three consecutive goals on fast breaks took the score to 17-10.
In the end there was nothing D6 could do with the match ending in favour of the Reds.
D6 Active Bodies 10
LS Vitality 12
A near fall for defending champions La Salle Vitality as a very determined D6 Active Bodies side nearly made its way to glory.
Although very few goals were scored thanks to a lot of erratic play by both sides in attack, it was a very poor match. Both goalkeepers were having the best of days and ultimately it was not a match that offered much to the spectators present at the University Sports Complex.
The match ended in favour of La Salle with the score line reading 10 - 12.
