Snooker: Zammit Remains unbeaten after four matches

Malta’s Simon Zammit added two more wins in Group G on Friday night but Duncan Bezzina lost two games at the IBSF World Grand Prix.

Zammit now has four wins and leads his group, while Bezzina remains on three wins though now he has two defeats and is occupying fifth place in the group of 10 players.

Zammit beat Supoj Saenlah of Thailand 4-3 and Mohammed Al Sheikh of Bahrain 4-0, during which he compiled his highest break of 79 so far.

It is pertinent to say that Saenlah has registered the tournament’s highest break so far – a good 143.

Bezzina lost 4-1 to Welshman Mark Tucker and 4-1 to India’s Pankaj Advani. The Maltese player registered a highest break of 77.

On the opening day, Zammit had won two matches and Bezzina registered three victories.
