The Malta Maritime Authority has referred to a recent press conference at Gozo’s Mgarr Harbour which was addressed by Opposition Leader Alfred Sant related to the Mgarr and Cirkewwa harbours project.
The Malta Maritime Authority said that notwithstanding the series of difficulties that it had to face throughout the construction works at Imgarr Harbour, due to impeding and persisting harsh weather conditions throughout the past winter months, progress of Phase A of the project proceeded at a fast rate and the work is expected to be completed by coming Easter.
Besides, it is also envisaged that the project involving the berths at Cirkewwa and Mgarr will be completed in the first few months of next year. In the meantime, the Malta Maritime Authority is doing its utmost to complete these projects within the stipulated timeframes.
