The government needs to take more action to prevent timeshare touts from abusing of their position, the Labour Party’s spokesman on tourism said yesterday.
Evarist Bartolo said that timeshare touts were pestering tourists, giving a bad name to the sector and to Malta in general. He added that the authorities were not carrying out enough inspections, adding that a Labour government would cut down on abuse by certain timeshare sales people and it would introduce stricter laws and regulations.
