The recent addition to Malta’s Celebrity Street within the Bay Street Complex is none other than the well-known singer Olivia Lewis.

Olivia arrived in style and was given the red-carpet treatment by Bay Street’s marketing manager Martin Sapiano, who welcomed her to the Complex. This young and well-liked singer gave a 30-minute concert at the Rotunda performing a selection of her best songs. Following this the hand-print ceremony was held in the open floor-area known as Celebrity Street within the Bay Street Complex.

Olivia Lewis is the first celebrity this year to be honoured in Celebrity Street where her hand print is now immortalised along with those of a number of local celebrities.

Martin Sapiano said, “Olivia Lewis was an obvious choice. She is a well-known and established singer as well as a versatile song-writer who has had a successful career both locally and abroad”.

Olivia’s career is in fact a very long one as she entered Malta’s musical scene at the tender age of 10 when she was invited to participate in an event in Australia. An intriguing part of her career revolves around the Malta Song for Europe Festival. In fact for the past three years she has always placed second just a few votes away from the first placed song.
