Although the BCSC is against the participation of the National Ladies Team in the Commonwealth Games, we, nevertheless, wish the best of luck to the Maltese Team in its gargantuan task.

Once again we would like to make it clear that our objection to the participation in the Games is based on two main reasons, namely, the very high standard of Basketball which will be witnessed at the Games and the substantial disruption of the local Basketball calendar which the MBA had to resort to so that they could send the National Team to Australia.

It is expected that large crowds from the Maltese community in Melbourne will be attending the Games when the Maltese Team is involved and this will hopefully help our players to perform with confidence.
