Malta Independent Sunday, 12 March 2006, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

Hosted by chairperson, Sara Grech, the Sara Grech Annual Awards Ceremony has once again been a resounding success. It was held at Palazzo Parisio and attended by all staff.

In her opening speech Ms Grech discussed sales leadership and the nurturing and development of sales peoples’ potential. She also discussed the challenges one has to face in the real estate industry today. Sara Grech Limited looks positively and eagerly ahead with the creation of a new and ingenious approach for 2006, which includes rewards for individual performance, while building comradeship and teamwork.

Ms Grech calls this new approach “Years of Service”, an innovative and creative way to stay ahead of the employee motivation curve. “The development of incentive programmes that are exciting and unifying, allow the company and the employee to both win and be satisfied” adding “then, there is universal motivation.”

She went on to thank the staff for their untiring effort during 2005 to improve on the excellent customer service that clients expect from all real estate companies today.

She outlined the company philosophy, “Excellent companies are, above all, brilliant on the basics, a tool being no substitute for thinking, and intellect not overpowering wisdom, while analysis not impeding action.”

Ms Grech insisted, “Our company works hard to keep things simple in a complex world and persevere on top quality achieving this through three simple beliefs: Our respect for the individual, a hands on approach and quick action, none of which can be attained without virtually everyone’s commitment”.

Ms Grech added, “While our reputation and track record may rank us among the top Malta estate agents, we are aware that past performance is no guarantee for future success. We also know that our clients are our judge and jury, and it is with this viewpoint in mind that we have shaped our team of property consultants in our specialised departments.”

Plans for 2006 were discussed with personnel who are accustomed to putting forward ideas and seeing these ideas bear fruit as the year progresses. Last year’s opportunities were also discussed and new appointments were made – Simon Coleiro, branch manager of the new branch; Paul H. Sammut, Branch manager to the Rental and Commercial Branch and Vicky Spiteri, Head of Supreme Homes Department. All the appointees where carefully selected from existing staff complement.

After a three-hour meeting the staff attended a lavish lunch after which Sara Grech presented the Annual Awards for Achievements in 2005. Top performing consultants were awarded trips to an overseas destination of their choice for two, while others were awarded weekends in Gozo or a day out shopping.

Top performance in “Sales” is closely interlinked with top performance “Customer service”, and is one of the most coveted awards, which was won by Ambrose Licari from the St Paul’s Bay branch.
