Swedish top division side FK Hammarby will be in Malta at the end of this week for a six-day training camp at the Ta’Qali complex.
The Swedish team, who won their first-ever championship in Sweden in 2001, will be arriving on Saturday and are scheduled to meet Floriana in a match on Wednesday, 29 March at the MFA Training Grounds, Ta Qali, at 6pm.
This friendly match is currently being publicised prominently on the FK Hammarby Website.
There is also a possibility that Swiss first division team FC Basel, who are in the last eight of the UEFA Cup competition and due to meet the English Premiership side, Middlesborough, will come to Malta for a training camp early in April.
Meanwhile, a UK Colleges youths representative team, Soccer Stars, will be in Malta between the 5th and 12th April. During their week-long training camp on the island they will be accommodated at the Ta’ Qali Complex.
During their stay here two matches are planned against the Malta Under-18 and Under-19 teams, both to be played at the MFA Training Grounds.
