Rebecca Madyson will be Malta’s flag-bearer at the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games tomorrow. She has been selected for the occasion by the Malta Olympic Committee after she won a silver medal for Malta in the Women’s Trap competition.

The Malta Olympic Committee said that the selection of Rebecca Madyson, apart from being a reward for the success, was also a way to show solidarity with the Maltese athletes living in Australia.

The MOC also thought that the selection of Rebecca Madyson as Malta’s flag-bearer was also a means of thanking the Maltese community in Australia for the continuous support and encouragement given to the Maltese contingent during the Games.
