The supporting act for the Sting concert on 6 June at the Luxol grounds (ex parade ground), Pembroke, will be English band FictionPlane, led by Sting’s son Joe Sumner.
Fiction Plane is a North London band that began its career in America. It was signed to MCA in America and began a nine-month tour to promote its debut album Everything Will Never Be OK. Their Pavement, Eels, U2 and Jesus Lizard influences received a rapturous welcome in their energetic live show that took them all over The States, Canada and Japan.
After MCA was swallowed up in a corporate restructuring, the band was moved over to the legendary label Geffen Records.
One of the latest fruits of their labour is the EP “Bitter Forces and Lame Racehorses (Everybody’s Records), produced by Paul Corkett (The Cure, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Cooper Temple Clause).
All Lm35 tickets for the concert have been sold out and very few Lm50 (Golden Circle) tickets are left. These are available from Sandro Azzopardi Gioielleria.
Lm15 tickets can be obtained from all outlets of The Matrix, Vodafone outlets and online from www.nngpromotions.com The ticket hotline is 9933-4444.
