The three Maltese youngsters taking part in the European under-19 championships in Riga Latvia, were yesterday eliminated from the knock-out round of 32 phase.
The three players, Duncan Pisani, Thurston Grixti and Shaun Agius managed to qualify from the round-robin groups, but were immediately eliminated from the knock-out phase.
The Maltese faced British opposition in yesterday’s matches. Duncan Pisani was beaten 1-4 by Anthony McGill from Scotland.
Thurstan Grixti and Shaun Agius failed to win a frame in their encounters, losing 0-4 against David Morris from Ireland, and Michael Cullomb from Scotland respectively.
