Malta’s national rugby team yesterday gave another five-star display by beating Croatia 26-15 to go on top of Pool B.
Malta now has seven points in Pool B of the third qualifying stage of the World Cup.
The first half was very balanced with the Maltese, once again supported by a bumper crowd at the Hibs ground in Kordin, having the edge and leading 13-12 up to the half way stage.
In the second half the maltese were the better team increasing the lead and going on to beat Croatia 26-15.
This was another stunning feat by the Malta rugby team, as Croatia are now occupying the 36th position in the world rankings.
Malta’s next match will be in Brussels against belgium in seven days’ time.
Malta lead Pool B, with seven points, followed by Garmany and Belgium with six, whilst Serbia and Montenegro and Croatia are with four points. Germany and Belgium have a game in hand.
