Once again this year, members from the Malta Table Tennis Association will be travelling to Sicily between today and Monday to participate in a training camp and play friendly matches against players from Polisportivo Club Catania.
The group will consist of four youngsters, Andrea, Marcus, Daniel Portelli, Jessica Pace and winners of the National Second Division League Leisure Clothing Table Tennis Club, made up of three Chinese players, Han Bin, Lu Xun and Lin Yin.
The group will be accompanied and led by David Pace, Youth Section Manager of the MTTA.
While in Catania Pace will also have various meetings with high Table Tennis officials from Sicily in order to broaden contacts and increase exchanges between both associations.
Pace will also discuss the possibility of having Maltese international umpires controlling international competitions organised in Catania. David said "low cost packages may be offered to our local international umpires and this should present them the possibility to practice their skills away from our shore at a minimal expense.
