Top under 15 seed Daniel Bajada won an exciting final in the latest of this season’s Under 15 ranking tournament.

He beat Daniel Vella in a closely fought final and emerged the eventual winner by four games to three, the scores being 11-13,11-6,8-11,11-7,11-9, 5-11 and 11-7

This win sees Daniel firmly placed as number one in the Under 15 ranking list even though he is still only 12 years old.

In the ‘Plate’ event, an event held for all the players who lost in the qualifying round, Jessica Pace beat Daniel Portelli in what proved to be an even closer final 8-11,

11-7,13-15,13-11,11-5 and 15-13.

This was the third of this season’s under 15 ranking tournaments held at the University Sports Hall, Msida.
