Sliema W. yesterday lodged a protest against the result of their Premier League match against Marsaxlokk which the latter won 1-0 last Sunday.

Sliema are basing their protest over what they claim is the ineligibility of player Steve Wellman who had been suspended for one match on 8 March though his name had not appeared on the MFA list of suspended players then. He should not have played against Msida, but went on to play all the matches till last Sunday.

The Board is now expected to meet later this week to decide what action to take.
