The MFA Disciplinary Commissioner yesterday suspended 12 players after the last weekend matches.

The hardest hit club was Hibernians with four players. Goalie Mario Muscat is banned for two matches and removed from team captaincy for one year. Aaron Xuereb, Clayton Failla and Kenneth Spiteri have all received a one-match ban.

Sliema had three players suspended. They are Daniel Bogdanovic, Danilo Doncic and Mauro DiLello, the latter also having to serve a second match ban.

Also banned for one match were Marsaxlokk’s Nuno Miguel Dos Santos Gomes, Jamie Pace and Andre Schembri, as well as Hamrun’s Rupert Mangion and Pieta’s Svetlan Kondev.
