Despite losing heavily 24-0 to Belgium in a World Cup Pool 1 B qualifier in Brussels last Saturday, Malta was given some good support by around 200 Maltese at present residing in Belgium and Luxembourg. A few travelled on purpose from the latter country to watch the Maltese in action. The team was appreciative of the support and at the end of the match, the players applauded the fans for their continuous encouragement despite the odds being heavily stacked against them.
