The Tennis Club Kordin will be organising a Tennis Marathon on the four courts of the premises on the night between the 6 and 7 June in aid of charity.

The Marathon will start on Tuesday 6 June at 7pm and will come to an end on Wednesday, 7 June at 8am. Entry fee for this event will be a minimum of Lm1 per person for each hour of play. Four players will be on each court every hour to play a Doubles’ match. Floodlighting will be sponsored by the club.

The aim of the marathon is being organised to collect funds for a young member of the club who has become seriously disabled through the illness of meningitis. Her young life which, not so far seemed very prosperous both academic and sporting, has been ruined by this virus. She has undergone serious operations and is now under renal treatment.

Medication is costly and funds are required to help her financially. This marathon is open both to the general public and members of the club.
