Final preparations are under way at Pinto Hall, which forms part of the Valletta Waterfront, for Amedeo Minghi’s concert on Saturday.
Amedeo Minghi, together with his band and six local violin virtuosos, will perform some of his famous hits and tracks from his recent albums.
Doors open at 7.30pm, and the evening will be compered by John Mallia and Alfred Zammit. There will be a performance by the Paul Curmi Dancers and a gig by Ivan Filletti before Amedeo Minghi’s concert begins at 9.15pm. The concert will be over by 11.30pm.
To avoid traffic congestion, parking tickets for the MCP car park will be at a discounted price.
Mr Minghi, who arrives in Malta at 1.30pm on Friday, will be giving a press conference at 6.30pm at the Dragonara Casino. During this conference, he will be launching ‘his autobiography L’ascolteranno gli Americani’, and his recent Platinum Collection – Greatest Hits album.
VIP ticket holders will be able to meet Mr Minghi after the press conference and also purchase autographed copies of the book and album.
Mr Minghi will also be the guest of honour at a dinner at the Dragonara Casino brasserie after the press conference.
Amedeo Minghi is being brought over by local entertainment specialists M & E Management Group.
