On the occasion of Mother’s Day, which is celebrated on Sunday, Parliamentary Secretary Helen D’Amato, the President’s wife Mary Fenech Adami, and Kate Gonzi, wife of the Prime Minister, distributed gifts to women resident at St Vincent de Paul yesterday morning.

Rulolph Cini and Colin Galea from the MUMN, Dr David Cassar from the Maltese psychiatric association, Gejtu Tanti from the UHM, and Tony Zarb and Saviour Sammut from the General Workers’ Union, attended the activity.

In a short speech, Mrs D’Amato said that society should be grateful to the elderly people who spent many years helping their families.
