Two hooded men, one of whom was definitely armed, held up a company employee in Nikol Baldacchino Street, Qormi, the police said yesterday.
The men stopped the employee, stole an undisclosed sum of cheques and cash, and fled the scene.
Luckily, no-one was injured in the incident.
Duty Magistrate Dr M Mallia was informed about the case and appointed various experts to help him conduct an inquiry.
Police investigations are also on-going.
