The Malta Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce is organising two new courses this coming summer.
One course is a ‘Practical Course on Christmas Crib Building’ and is being run in co-operation with the Ghaqda Hbieb Tal-Presepju (Malta). The course will run for six sessions of two-three hours duration for each session.
The course will be conducted by Charles Belia who is the Secretary/PRO of the Ghaqda Hbieb Tal-Presepju (Malta). The Course will start on Saturday 22 July at Palazzo De La Salle, 219 Republic Street, Valletta. Participants will learn about the crib in Malta, how to build such cribs, accessories such as buildings, lights, trees, etc and also how to make pasturi.
Another course, which will start on Saturday 15 July, but this time at the Malta Maritime Museum, Vittoriosa, is a ‘Model Ship Building Course’. This will run over nine sessions of two hours each session and is being run with the cooperation of the Malta Maritime Museum. This course will be conducted by Joe Abela who is the Model Ship Builder at the Malta Maritime Museum. Participants will learn how to build a wooden model ship from scratch.
