The Gallery at the Corinthia Palace Hotel, San Anton, is hosting an exhibition of paintings by Therese Storace. This, her first solo exhibition, is the combined result of several years of artistic production and a deep enthusiasm for art.
Therese has studied art under the varied tutorship of Joseph Mallia, Harry Alden, Esprit Barthet, Ray Pitre`, and Anthony Calleja. Her work was been exhibited in various collective local and foreign exhibitions, including the Malta Art Biennale, The Christian Art Biennale and the International Biennale Raciborz in Poland, as well as in Paris.
Her paintings are characterised by a spontaneous sense of movement, and stylisation of the real, set free by a personalised mastery of the acrylic medium.
She draws her inspiration from the living world around her: human forms and faces, bright colours and magnificent flowers, quirky characters and deeply felt emotions. She has captured this in the exhibition by way of portraits, nudes and object drawings.
The exhibition will be open daily until 18 May and it will be possible to meet the artist between 6pm and 8pm, Mondays to Fridays, and between 10am and noon and 6pm and 8pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
