Israeli Ambassador visits cemetery in Kalkara

The Israeli Ambassador to Malta, Ehud Gol, paid a visit to a Jewish cemetery in Kalkara last week, accompanied by members of the Maltese Jewish community.

During the the ambassador unveiled an information sign about the cemetery, written in both Maltese and English, together with Kalkara mayor Michael Cohen and Cottonera Rehabilitation Project (CRP) executive coordinator Ray Bondin.

The sign was erected by the CRP in the Ministry for Resources and Infrastructure following a survey of the cemetery and various work that has been carried out by the Works Division and the Archaeology Services Cooperative, which prepared the historical report.
