Valletta Waterfront Installs water’s edge railings

Malta Independent Wednesday, 17 May 2006, 00:00 Last update: about 20 years ago

With an ever-increasing number of families visiting the Valletta Waterfront, either to visit one of the establishments or simply to enjoy a walk along the laguna’s edge, a decision has been taken to increase safety by installing new railings along the water’s edge.

The new railings will complement existing life-saving equipment already in place and are intended particularly to protect children from getting too close to the water’s edge.

Their installation is taking place following feedback from visitors and customers about their experience of the Waterfront.

“Since its opening, the Valletta Waterfront has become a very popular venue for families who bring their young children to enjoy a meal or just to stroll.

From day one, we have ensured that life-saving equipment is available in case of an accident. These new railings will now not only enhance safety for all but help to make any visit to Valletta Waterfront more enjoyable,” said Chris Paris, operations manager at Valletta Waterfront.
