The Malta Chamber of Engineers is holding a very special concert at the Manoel Theatre on Tuesday at 7.30pm.
It will consist of a performance by the Romanian Orchestra of Engineers, comprising engineers and well-known scientists and professors with the engineering profession.
Conducted by Andrei Iliescu, the orchestra will perform a varied programme, including Rossini’s overture to The Silken Ladder, Haydn’s Concerto for Piano and Orchestra in D Major, with Maria Haiducas piano soloist; Sibelius’ popular Valse Triste; Mozart’s Symphonia Concertante in E Flat Major for Violin, Viola and Orchestra KV 364 with soloists Ileana Ionesti and Mircea Cazacu and Iosif Ivanovici’s Danube Waves Waltz.
