Under 18 national coach Edwin Camilleri and his assistant Winston Muscat have selected the following players to form part of the squad travelling to Sicily next week to take part in an Under 18 European tournament:

Goalkeepers: H. Bonello (Sliema W.), N. Vella (San Gwann).

Defenders: E. Agius (Hibernians), S. Bezzina and J. Grioli (Valletta), A. Buhagiar (Floriana), L. Buhagiar (St Patrick), F. Debono (Sliema W.), T. Farrugia (Msida).

Midfielders: B. Camilleri and J. Pearson (Hibernians), R. Camilleri (Pieta), L. Galea and D. Pisani (Floriana), C. Gatt Baldacchino (Sliema), D. Zarb (Valletta).

Strikers: C. Pulo and C. Spiteri (Pieta), Q. Refalo (Hibs), A. Sammut Vasquez (Legia Warsaw).

The tournament is being held in Paestum between 29 May and 5 June.

Malta is in Group A together with Italy and Poland who face each other on the opening day next Monday.

Malta’s first commitment will be on Tuesday against the losers of the opening day’s match. The following day, Malta will play the winners of the opening day’s match.

The Group winners and best runners-up will play in the semi-finals on 1 June.
