The MRFU have announced the following ten man squad picked by national coach Damian Neill for the European Sevens tournament to be held at Montpellier, France, from next Sunday 4 June.

Daniel Grima, Sean Doublesin, Reuben Vella, Dominic St.George, Dominic Busuttil, Oliver Sacco, James Finlason, Jamie Caruana, Steve Haycock, Dan Alex-Jones.

Seven a Side Rugby is played on a full sized pitch, so is very fast indeed, and each half is only seven minutes long. The players have to be the fastest available and tackling and ball possession are vital. The Malta team may well come up against sprinters of Olympic quality which will test their durabilty to the limits.

In the past Malta has competed quite well in this tournament, but this is the first time under Neill.
