The organisers of the Net TV/Replay Gala Night, John Busuttil and Robert Cutajar, organised a one-day tour of Pozzallo and Syracuse in Sicily last Thursday, thanks to a sponsorship from Virtu Ferries which operates the service almost every day of the week between the two islands. The group included some of the finalists in the footballers and coaches categories, but not all the finalists, as most of them could not make it because of various commitments, especially as it happened to be the eve of the Trophy final. This forced the absence of the Floriana and Hibernians players who had to miss the outing. This was one of the activities being organised as part of the event – the final night – which is to be held at the Viset Valletta Waterfront on Sunday 11 June. On that day, the winners of all the categories will be announced together with the Footballer of the Year awards of some of the local newspapers, including The Malta Independent. Shots of activities similar to that of last Thursday will also be screened during the 11 July finals night
