Malta obtained its first victory in the Promotion Cup in Albania yesterday when they beat Gibraltar 70-63, after leading 33-28 at the interval.

Session scores were 14-13, 19-15, 16-13, 21-22.Michael Naudi was Malta's top scorer with 16 points, followed by Omar Said on 14. C. Sammut obtained 10 points, K. Baldacchino 9, S. Cassar 8, A, Micallef and S. Schembri five each and P. Shoults 3.

Malta's next match is being played tomorrow against Wales, at 2pm.
