The audio visual series Ulied Maltin has released its third volume, a DVD packed full with politicians who have graced Malta’s stage in the past six decades or so.
Producers Horizons have removed the jingle that used to precede each short feature of the 40 minute documentary, which adds continuity.
As in previous editions, this series, dedicated to politicians, consists of very interesting and well-planned footage. Apart from well-known stalwarts such as George Borg Olivier, Anton Buttigieg, Enrico Mizzi, Paul Boffa and Guzé Cassar, there are also some lesser known figures, including Albert Hyzler, Toni Pellegrini, Mabel Strickland and Herbert Ganado.
The DVD also comes with a booklet that includes all the features’ texts together with a photograph of each personality. Focus has also been placed on legendary politicians such as Lorry Sant and Carmelo Caruana who, although now largely forgotten, were instrumental in their respective party’s history and rise to the top.
Although some controversy may be associated with certain personalities such as Sant, there is no denying their important presence in the development of the country. A thumbs up to Horizons for this fine third instalment.
