First Collective agreement for Malta Enterprise employees

Malta Enterprise has signed its first collective agreement with the General Workers’ Union (GWU) covering employees in non-managerial grades.

The agreement reached between the corporation and the union stipulates the terms and conditions of employment up to the end of 2010.

Prior to the signing, the agreement was unanimously approved by employees who are members of the GWU.

The agreement was signed by Philip Micallef, CEO, on behalf of Malta Enterprise Corporation. For the GWU, the agreement was signed by Karmenu Vella, Section Secretary and Martin Camilleri, Shop Steward.

Present for the signing of the agreement representing Malta Enterprise were David Galea Souchet, chief officer corporate services; Ray Muscat, chief officer enterprise support; Mario Galea, chief officer business development; Anton Callus, Head HR and Administration; and Marianne Copperstone, assistant shop steward.
