The annual social manifestation Il-Bidwi jsellem lis-sajf, organised by the Social Action Movement, will be held on Saturday in front of San Blas Church (in the open fields at the centre of the triangle made up of Zebbug, Siggiewi and Rabat).

The programme starts at 6pm with the celebration of Mass and continues with talks, chants and Maltese food and wine. St John’s Bonfire will be lit to close the event.

Rural Affairs and the Environment Minister George Pullicino, Parliamentary Secretary for Agriculture and Fisheries Francis Agius and opposition spokesman for agriculture and fisheries Noel Farrugia have been invited.

The public is invited to attend.
