Sirens 2X 15
San Giljan Zara 8
(2-2, 3-2, 5-2, 5-2)
After two consecutive victories where they scored 17 goals, champions Sirens made it three wins in a row when they beat a San Giljan side which was very much in the game up till the start of the third session when a Tony Galea flick, on a man-up, made it a 5-5 game.
However, four consecutive goals in the space of two and a half minutes paved the way for Sirens’ win, as the St. Paul’s Bay side easily controlled the proceedings in the last session.
The two respective foreign imports showed considerable class. Hungarian Tamas Marcz, playing his second game, scored a nice six-goal tally, whilst his counterpart on the opposite end, Serb Marco Cuk started the game with five goals to his credit and then managed to score a nap-hand in this encounter, also with two man-up goals.

Neptunes V 17
Marsaxlokk FP 9
(6-3, 3-1, 3-3, 5-2)
As expected, Neptunes chalked up their third win in a row after beating a battling Marsaxlokk side. The reds were without the services of their coach Sergio Afric who was reported to be away for relative related medical reasons.
Neptunes started the game on a high note going 5-0 ahead only for Sergey Frolov (who continued on his positive performance last week and even managed to net six personal goals making good use of his powerful conclusions) to notch Marsaxlokk’s opener.
There was no doubt where the win was going as Neptunes held a 9-4 lead at the change of ends.
The third session was a balanced affair with Camilleri missing a penalty for the reds.
